Jagal Foundation Donates Business Startup Equipment to Beneficiaries of Skills Training Scholarship

The Jagal Foundation has empowered six graduates of the Home Science Association (HSA) Vocational Training Institute with equipment for immediate business startup.
The graduates were fully sponsored by the Foundation for their three-month and six-month skill acquisition courses at the HSA Vocational Training Institute. 
 
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Kola Oyekunle, Director, The Jagal Foundation said, ‘’We are supporting the institute’s students in furtherance of our economic empowerment initiatives across Nigeria and our commitment to vocational skills development. We are optimistic that our contribution will improve entrepreneurship, financial independence, and socio-economic empowerment.”  
 
Oyekunle, who spoke on behalf of the Jagal Foundation Chairman, Maher Jarmakani, reiterated that the Foundation’s role in overseeing the training and start-up support for the beneficiaries was hinged on its mission to promote economic opportunities for youth, indigenous communities, and small-scale businesses.  
 
According to Prince Debo Luwaji, Chief Executive Officer, Home Science Association of Vocational Training Institute, “We welcome a broad spectrum of enrollees, which indicates how critical skill acquisition is to the sustenance of a growing economy. The Jagal Foundation’s commitment to societal well-being and development is evident in the sponsorship value of the students and provision of relevant equipment to set up their business.”  
 
The beneficiaries were trained in Aluminum Works, Fashion Design, Hair Dressing, Cake Making and Cake Decoration, Makeup and Makeover, and Leather Accessories Production.
