The Jagal Foundation in collaboration with Nigerdock have distributed school stationery to over 12,000 pupils and donated 124 learning computers to educational institutions across South-Western Nigeria.
The Coordinator of The Jagal Foundation, Funmilayo Shokunbi, said: “Providing pupils with early access to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) tools makes them better equipped for 21st century learning demands, and has greater impact on their potential. The world is fast evolving, and no child should be left behind in the acquisition of relevant skills in tech-reliant societies.”
Mr. S.A. Odewole, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ogun State, said “The Jagal Foundation’s commitment to ensure that pupils in rural areas keep up with their peers in urbanised regions is commendable. This donation will augment the efforts of the State’s education board to provide relevant learning and teaching aids for primary schools.”
Covering 39 primary and secondary schools in Lagos, Oyo, and Ogun States, the foundation’s donation underlines its mission to provide unique opportunities for indigenous communities, youth, and small-scale businesses.
